Membership is $95 per year or $15 per month.
What you get as a member
- Open Play — Sunday morning doubles at Christine Emerson Reed Park, 9 AM–2 PM. Free with membership.
- Live Ball — fast-paced, coach-fed doubles sessions twice a week. $25 for members (vs. $35 for non-members), with priority sign-up.
- Tournaments — social and competitive events held every couple of months. Details announced in the newsletter.
Trips & social events
SMTC has traditionally organized happy hour socials, inter-club tournaments and low-cost weekend trips—often to tennis resorts within a two-hour drive. Over the years, trips have ranged as far as Hawaii, including a memorable luau (and yes—members even met the King of Hawaii). Costs have risen and demand has fallen, so we haven't hosted inter-club events or trips in the last few years—but membership is growing, and we hope to bring them back.
We don't reserve courts or provide lessons
SMTC does not reserve courts for individuals and does not provide tennis lessons. Please see the City of Santa Monica's tennis website for court reservations and their contact information.
USTA has information on tennis coaches and programs for beginners, juniors and adults.

You'll complete a short Google Form with contact info and the club waiver. Payment is then collected securely via Stripe.
